Die Strandhuis has 4 separate self-catering options: The House, The Embuia, The Rosewood and a deluxe unit - Greta's. All are situated in a garden, have full sea view, are 100m from the beach and allow small breed doggies on request (please refer to the Pet Policy). Each room has a ceiling fan. No parties allowed.

All are serviced daily except Sundays and public holidays. Bath towels, all linen and dishcloths are supplied - bring beach towels. M-Net, M- Net Magic 1 & 2, KykNet, all Sports Channels, SABC 1, 2, 3 and E-TV are available.

Excellent restaurants, one of which serves a very good breakfast from 7h, are just 500m walking distance from Die Strandhuis.

The House

(min 4, max 7 people; sea view)

For privacy let only to one family or a group that knows each other. Sleeps four to seven people. The HOUSE, surrounded by a garden, has a very large stoep with a built-in Braai. It has a lounge/dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and scullery, three bedrooms with sea views, two bathrooms and a lock-up double garage

The Embuia - Ideal for a family

(choice of 1 or 2 rooms; sleeps 2 or 4; sea view):

Sleeps two to four people. The main en-suite bedroom has a fully equipped kitchenette, a TV/Lounge area and can be used as a bachelor flat.

The second en-suite bedroom has two single beds and a private outside entrance.

The front door opens onto a sea-facing patio and the back door leads to the garden. A stainless steel braai trolley is available. Secure parking is available on the property.

The Rosewood

(Bachelor unit; sleeps 2; sea view):

This two-sleeper bachelor unit with a full bathroom has a fully equipped kitchenette and a TV/Lounge area.

The front door opens onto a sea-facing patio and the back door leads to the garden.

A stainless steel braai trolley is available. Secure parking is available on the property.

Greta's

(Deluxe Unit; sleeps 2; sea view):

Lovely Deluxe Unit. Sleeps two - King size bed. Separate bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower only). Open plan, fully equipped kitchen. Sliding doors opening from lounge area onto a private wooden deck - beautiful sea view!

The front door opens onto a sea-facing patio and the back door leads to the garden.

A stainless steel braai trolley is available (no braaing on the wooden deck). Secure parking in a lock up garage is available on the property.

Those who are on a tight budget should keep a lookout for this category icon. This type of establishment offers dormitory (shared) bedroom accommodation with other "Backpackers" generally using either single beds or bunk beds with a communal kitchen and shared ablutions.

Bar On-Site:

Meaning the venue has its own bar on-site with staff serving alcohol/non-alcohol beverages and perhaps "pub-grub" included. They may offer satellite TV for bar patrons to follow the latest sporting fixtures live and may also host live music on certain days / evenings.

Bed & Breakfast:

If an establishment has this icon, this means they either include breakfast in their rates or offer the opportunity for you to choose to include breakfast during your stay which is usually served to guests in an on-site breakfast room dinette or restaurant. Hotel:

A hotel is generally a large premises that can accommodate a large amount of guests in many adjacent rooms grading from standard 2 sleeper units to "executive" luxury suites offering more in-room space and facilities. They generally have a restaurant and bar on-site for all day meals and drinks (quite often offered on a buffet dining basis). Other on-site facilities may include a swimming pool, gym, spa, in/outdoor entertainment area for kids, a conference / wedding room for meetings / ceremonies and a small shop.

Pet Friendly:

If an establishment is pet friendly, then you can skip the pet-sitter and bring your furbabies along to join you on your holiday. It is very important however to ask prior if you can bring your pet(s) as some holiday establishment might have restrictions on the number and/or type of pets.
